What You Should Know About Us

In 1982, with help from family, Kevin and Donna Lynch started out on a landscape business venture. With plenty of dreams, the desire to learn, the ability to work hard, and a gift to work with natural stone (handed down from my father), all reinforced by a college background in design, we committed our sights on the finer details and quality side of the landscape industry. The first 15 years were primarily dedicated to grounds management and maintenance. Our company was successful in contracting major, high traffic and visibility properties, where we were able to hone many skills that we still use daily. When I look at the list of wonderful people, local and national businesses that we have had the privilege to work and build relationship with over the years, I find myself impressed and humbled at the same time.

In 1990, we moved to our present location and started the transition into the developing of the nursery and construction side of the company. In early 2000, our second son, Matthew, decide that he was going to move into a full-time position with the company. That was the time we decided to make further steps towards doing the things that I preferred… Being creative! The concept of My Backyard & Beyond was reborn and we headed to where we are today. Today we get to work with clients who love and respect what we design for them, and in most cases, we walk away with lifelong clients and friends.
